Youth Arts Initiative and Give To The Max Day

November 15th is Give To The Max Day. Sponsored by GiveMN, Give To The Max day is a day dedicated to making giving easier and more fun for people in Minnesota.

Since launching in 2009, more than 300,000 donors have given nearly $200 million to 10,000 nonprofits and schools using GiveMN.org. On their first Give To The Max Day, $14 million was raised in just 24 hours – now, that’s some big giving!

This year, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is getting in on the action and dedicating our giving to the Youth Arts Initiative.

Drawing

The Youth Arts Initiative pilot program is an exciting, trailblazing program that brings real-life art learning to kids at The Club. Kids learn useful skills like 2-D design, art history, music and video production, pattern-making, sewing, and dance. Professional teaching artists with experience in youth development launched the program—following the 10 Success Principles for High-Quality Arts Programming.

The Initiative has been a major hit with kids and parents, but funding has been on a glide path and is set to end December 31, 2018, which is why we need your help and support on Give To The Max Day.

Art

Mike and Karel Helgeson generously donated $150,000 to this program, and we challenge you to help us match that number by donating on Give to the Max Day. Our goal is to raise $150,000 (to match the Helgeson’s) by May 2019. All proceeds go toward keeping the Youth Arts Initiative running and providing kids access to a high-quality arts program that builds character and offers a path to a successful future.

As always, we appreciate your generosity and continued support. With the help of generous donors like you, we’re able to reach 1,600 youth daily at three Club facilities and 15 KIDSTOP sites.

Want to help us reach even more? Consider contributing to the Match Challenge on Give To The Max Day and let’s keep changing lives together. Great futures start here.
