St. Cloud, Minnesota – Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is thrilled to announce it has received a grant of $16,000.00 from the CLA Foundation. This grant is a testament to Boys & Girls Club’s outstanding work and will enable Boys & Girls Club to continue its mission to do whatever it takes to empower all youth to reach their full potential.
“The CLA Foundation believes in the power of education, employment, and entrepreneurship to transform lives,” said Brita Midness, grants and operations director of the CLA Foundation. “Our grants are designed to support organizations that embody these principles and strive to create lasting impacts within their communities. By funding initiatives that promote these three E’s, we’re helping to build a brighter future for all and further our commitment to be connected to the communities in which we live and work.”
The grant will be put toward Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota’s academic support and life and workforce readiness programs, helping young people build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to thrive in school and beyond. Boys & Girls Club has staff who are dedicated to providing daily academic support, helping youth strengthen learning habits, stay engaged in school, and work toward graduation. The Club’s life and workforce readiness programming prepares them to explore careers, set goals, communicate effectively, and make informed decisions about their futures. Together, these opportunities connect education to future employment and build foundational skills for entrepreneurship, including creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and initiative.
“We are forever grateful to CLA Foundation to recognizing the important work of the Boys & Girls Club with this generous grant funding,” said Mary Swingle, Boys & Girls Club’s President & CEO. “Boys & Girls Club connects the dots between education & employment. We help youth recognize their strengths and pursue meaningful pathways to success.”
