Brielle Smunk is a 10th grader at Sauk Rapids High School and has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club’s KIDSTOP program since kindergarten. Throughout her membership, Brielle has participated in Career Launch, Junior Volunteer, Goals for Growth, Graduation, SMART Kids, Healthy Habits, Image Makers and Fine Arts. Once she “graduated” from KIDSTOP in 6th grade, she became a junior volunteer. Brielle contributes hundreds of volunteer hours each summer to the Boys & Girls Club’s KIDSTOP program as a junior volunteer. She is an artist, and she enjoys helping younger kids channel their creativity in the arts. Brielle routinely helps staff coordinate and leads age-appropriate arts programming for members.
“Brielle is a star junior volunteer and really a go-to leader at Kennedy KIDSTOP during the summer,” said Kennedy KIDSTOP Program Manager Tracy Beyer. “Brielle does a great job of developing strong relationships with our members. This program has taught her the ability to be flexible, to get out of her comfort zone and work with all different types of people.”
Brielle plans to get a job as a youth development staff in summer of 2020. Upon high school graduation in 2022, she plans to go to college to become a forensic pathologist.
