Anthonia’s Great Future

Anthonia Riley is a senior at Apollo High School and has been a member of the Roosevelt Boys & Girls Club since kindergarten. Over the years, she has participated in many high impact programs, including Junior Staff, Career Launch, SMART Girls, Date SMART, and Power Hour homework help. These programs have inspired her to be a strong, confident young women who also advocates for other girls. In fact, Anthonia worked with Club staff to create a girls dance troupe to mentor K-6 grade girls. This program was integrated into SMART Girls and used the platform of dance to create open discussion about life experiences, goals and dreams. The purpose of this program was to give young girls who were dealing with various struggles a voice.

“She is a positive role model that all the kids respect,” said Roosevelt Unit Director Dominique Hollomon. “She is a shining example of what our mission is.”

Anthonia Riley currently works in the health care industry and aspires to become a psychiatrist.
