Southside Boys & Girls Club Opens Best Buy Teen Tech Center

The board and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota are proud to announce the opening of a brand-new, state-of-the-art Best Buy Teen Tech Center® at the Southside Boys & Girls Club. The center is located at 1205 6th Avenue South, St. Cloud. A grand opening event will be scheduled in the near future.

The Best Buy Teen Tech Center, a program of the Best Buy Foundation, is designed to support community teens with access to cutting-edge technology, mentorship and college and career readiness. The Southside Boys & Girls Club will be joining the growing network of Best Buy Teen Tech Centers across the country.

Featuring hands-on experiences that allow teenagers to explore interests like photography, augmented and virtual reality, 3D design and more, the center includes several activity stations. Teens in the community are welcome to create and learn at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at no cost.

  • 15+ computers equipped with top production applications
  • DJ Station
  • Robotics & Coding
  • Digital Arts Stations
  • 3D Printing Station
  • Embroidery Station
  • T-Shirt and Heat Press station
  • Digital Cutting Machine
  • Photography and Videography Station
  • VR headsets
  • Button-making Station

The Teen Tech Center occupies 1,361 square feet at the Southside Boys & Girls Club.

Best Buy Teen Tech Centers™, a program of the Best Buy Foundation™, provide safe, after-school spaces where teens can get hands-on experience with the latest technology. Adult mentors and volunteers provide the support for youth to create, innovate and explore. Teens can explore their passions with access to cutting-edge technology including tools for film production, augmented and virtual reality, digital media, 3-D design, audio engineering, and so much more.
