Boys & Girls Club recognized Robyn Bright and Leighton Broadcasting with a Friend of Youth Award at the St. Cloud Morning Optimist Club meeting on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
Leighton Broadcasting has been an incredible Friend of Youth for decades. They have supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota for more than 20 years, and their support has only increased over time.
Leighton Broadcasting began a relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota decades ago when Al and Jean Leighton started a bridge fundraiser to help support operations. They ran this fundraiser annually for more than a decade. Al and Jean were members of Boys & Girls Club’s Board of Trustees and faithfully supported the important programs we provide.
Robyn Bright has served on the Boys & Girls Club’s marketing committee since its inception in 1998. She actively works with our team to ensure that Boys & Girls Club is being promoted across all Leighton’s radio stations and on their news sites. Additionally, she always thinks of the Boys & Girls Club when a cause-related marketing opportunity arises. Robyn connects the Boys & Girls Club to various local businesses for resource development and partners with us to provide high-end auction items for our Summer Benefit.
Leighton Broadcasting is a Partner for the Future, and as such, they provide Boys & Girls Club with in-kind advertising on a monthly basis. This helps us reach our goals for hiring, membership recruitment, Summer Benefit attendees, resource development and sharing our mission story.
We can’t thank our partners at Leighton Broadcasting enough for helping us tell our story with the community. Cheers to Leighton Broadcasting for being a Friend of Youth!
