Boys & Girls Club staff and youth sew face masks for COVID-19

We are all reading about the shortage of face masks in the health care community during COVID-19. So, when the health care industry asked for help, Boys & Girls Club staff stood ready to respond. We mobilized our sewing studio and equipped our sites with all the necessary machines, fabric, scissors and instructions so that youth could be empowered to make a difference during this uncertain time.

Staff and youth are working across all three sites to sew as many masks as possible to share with the health care community.

Special thanks goes to the Vacuum Center & Sewing Room for donating 3 Babylock zest sewing machines and Rapids Alterations for providing fabric and other supplies for the project.
