Bernick Family Foundation supports academic success programming

The board and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota are pleased to announce that Bernick Family Foundation has approved a grant to the organization in the amount of $20,000 to fund Academic Success programs focusing on homework help and tutoring, academic support and academic remediation.

“This grant will enable us to continue to strengthen our academic success programming at the three Clubs,” said Deb Nebosis, Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Club. “Through this grant, three full-time Academic Success Coordinators will provide daily homework help and tutoring to our youth. They will use the Project Learn educational strategy, which is proven nationally to increase grades and improve academic behaviors.”

Bernick’s has a long history of supporting education programs provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota. Over the years, Bernick’s has given more than $200,000 to the Boys & Girls Club.

“We are so thankful for Bernick’s ongoing generosity to the Boys & Girls Club,” said Nebosis. “Their support has enabled thousands of children to achieve academic success and make plans beyond high school graduation.”
