You have the opportunity to be a superhero for our community’s youth! They need safe places, caring mentors and access to
life-changing opportunities. Your gift will fuel our unstoppable mission to build great futures!
Super Readers for Academic Success!
Academic success is a top priority at the Club. Our staff provide books for youth that are age-appropriate and high-interest, regardless of their reading level, to improve their confidence and interest in reading. Youth read independently or with a Super Readers volunteer to build literacy skills.
We also provide Edmentum, which is a digital curriculum that offers project-based activities to help youth make progress toward grade-level proficiency in reading and math. Club staff assess youth for their current grade level in reading and math and give them an individualized learning path using a gamified approach.
CareerSTART to save the day!
A skilled workforce is essential to the future of our community’s economy. That’s why Boys & Girls Club provides CareerSTART programming – to provide exploration, development and application of career paths for youth.
Youth can’t be what they can’t see. So we show them what their future can look like.
For example, youth recently learned about careers in biomedical engineering and were challenged to build a prosthetic leg strong enough to support body weight and navigate a walking course. This is just one of many exposure opportunities our youth have at the Club!
Youth Arts Initiative for creative heroics!
The Club’s Youth Arts Initiative mentors design and implement high quality arts programs in the areas of visual arts, digital arts, dance and fashion to build positive connections with youth, promote mutual respect, and empower youth to share their creative voice in the community.
Youth showcase their artwork throughout the year at the Paramount, Crossroads Center, the Clubs and other public venues to inspire others and build social capital.
More Clubs to serve super kids!
This fall, Boys & Girls Club has grown to serve the needs of more youth! We are now serving 4,527 registered members at 5 traditional Clubs, 1 middle school outreach in Sauk Rapids, 11 KIDSTOP school-based sites, & 1 KIDSTART pre-school program.
Discovery Boys & Girls Club
Discovery Boys & Girls Club opened this fall to provide a safe, positive after-school experience for Waite Park youth in grades K-12.
Little Falls Boys & Girls Club
The Little Falls Boys & Girls Club joined Central MN in October to expand programs & services, training & support for both youth & staff.
