COVID-19 – Boys & Girls Club’s Emergency Services Childcare

Boys & Girls Club’s Emergency Services Childcare program will end May 29th.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is committed to helping our community get through this difficult time during school closures. Therefore, we will provide school-age child care for emergency & health care workers only starting March 16th, at Mississippi Heights, Pine Meadow & Madison schools.

Boys & Girls Club’s Emergency Services Childcare Program will operate through May 28th in the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district, and May 29th in the Sartell-St. Stephen school district and St. Cloud school district. We are no longer accepting registrations for the emergency services childcare program, since it will close in the near future.

Summer KIDSTOP will open June 1st in the Sartell and Sauk Rapids school districts and June 2nd in the St. Cloud school district.

Child care will be open from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday during the school closures. Parents do not need to send a cold lunch for their children, because the schools will prepare meals daily. There will be no registration processing or daily fees to support our emergency & health care workers and their families during this time. To register for this program, parents will need to provide proof of employment in an emergency or health care industry, such as an employee ID card or pay stub.

Please look at the guidelines for what qualifies as emergency and health care workers. We are providing care in response to the MN Governor’s request to provide emergency care to ensure those on the front lines of community health and safety can get to work. The safety and well-being of our children and staff is our number 1 priority, and we must follow Minnesota Department of Health’s guidelines in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Register online below by clicking the blue button.

Parents: Please note that you must register your child for a site within their home district. This is so our staff, as well as the school’s teaching staff, can assist with distance learning.

  • Madison: Dist. 742 students
  • Mississippi Heights: Sauk Rapids-Rice students
  • Pine Meadow: Sartell-St. Stephen students

Temperature and respiratory checks will be taken daily at check-in. Click here for details.

COVID-19 Warning & Waiver

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the Club cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the Club could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

All parents will be required to sign a warning and waiver when they arrive with their child(ren) the first day of attendance.
