The St. Cloud Area Association of Realtors named Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota the official charity for this year’s SCAAR Cup Golf Tournament & Dinner on August 15, 2016 at Territory Golf Club.
SCAAR has been running a golf tournament for a number of years to help charities, but according to Todd Edstrom, chairperson of the event, this was a record-breaking year.
SCAAR presented a check to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota for a total of $11,100.00 on September 27th through money raised from nearly 150 area realtors involved in the event.
Edstrom said that the SCAAR tournament has supported many worthy charities, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Anna Marie’s, the food shelf and others. “Over the last 15 years, I’d say we have raised a total of more than $100,000 for local charities,” Edstrom said.
